Product description
Description
- Material: Heating elements for autoclaves are typically made from materials that are resistant to corrosion, such as incoloy or stainless steel, given the constant exposure to steam and water.
- Temperature & Pressure: The autoclave's heating element heats the water to produce steam, raising the internal pressure. For sterilization purposes, the typical temperature inside an autoclave is about 121°C (250°F) at a pressure of about 15 psi above atmospheric pressure, although some cycles use higher temperatures.
